Camden Jay Barrett is here!

Camden arrived Saturday Oct.1st at 10:07pm. He weighed in at 7lbs8oz. He is healthy and doing well:) We are so happy he is here and love him more than words!

Baby Shower

A big thank you to my mom and sister for throwing me such a spectacular shower! My mom and sister worked really hard to make it perfect and it couldn't have turned out any better:) I got lots of really good gifts and Im so grateful for all my friends and family who celebrated our baby. I love you all! Here are a few pics.....

Mom visits and week 32 pic

My mom came to Chicago a couple weeks ago and we had a great weekend. With moving I hadn't gotten around to uploading the pics but here are just a few of us at Navy pier. The last one is a pic of me at 32 weeks-only 8 more weeks to go!! He is moving around a lot lately it seems anytime that I sit down, so I'm trying to stay active:) Doctors appt. tomorrow and my last weekend of freedom before school (staff development) starts on Monday. The summer goes by so fast but I am ready to meet the little guy, so Im not sure I mind it moving so fast:)

Week 28 updates from the Doc.....

I had my checkup today and all is well with baby and me. My gestational diabetes test came back negative and the doctor said that I am measuring perfectly. I was being paranoid cause everyone I tell that I am 6 months says "What! you are barely showing!", but my doctor assures me that I am measuring perfect and that everything is fine. Everyone carries different and because I'm tall and have strong abdominal muscles (who knew?) that I am not showing as much as other women. I am feeling anxious about a lot which I guess is normal too, I think its cause I am off work and all I do is think about this little guy! Ben keeps telling me to relax (he is so laid-back!-which I guess is a good balance for us:) so I am working on relaxing more and taking it day by day. One less thing to worry about-we found an apartment! Such a relief and we decided to stay in Chicago which I am excited about:)
